My Journey to Georgia cont.. Part 8

I was shocked after he told me that he had been shot. I told him about the dream that I had right before he called me. We both agreed that that is not normal and I instantly knew there was a deep connection that I had with this man. He was still in Georgia at the time so there wasn’t much that I could do for him being that I was in NY. After the shooting incident we lost contact again. I went back to Queens to pack my things because I decided that I wanted to move back home with my family. My Godmother was still in Georgia and the house in Queens was getting to crowded. I was hoping she would’ve came back to New York and start her childcare back. She started a childcare called Happy Faces and I worked for her. It was the easiest job ever. All I had to do is get up @6am because that is when the first child came. He was just a newborn at the time but I was used to taking care of  babies. It wasn’t my first job but it was one of the best jobs because I was working from home…lol.

However, I move back to Brooklyn after letting my Godmother know that I wanted to be back home. She wasn’t sure why I wanted to go back but understood that it was my decision to make. My brother and sisters where happy that I was moving back home. Once I moved back I started to go to school for Business Management. I was interested in opening my own business. I wanted to start a non-profit organization for females. I had already started a group back in Queens called the Shortie Rock Crew. I only had 5 girls at the time but it was cool and the girls had a blast every time we met up on Saturday. I decided to go ahead and start one in Brooklyn to see how the turn out would be. I started out with 6 girls and by the end of it all I had 25 girls. We still met on Saturdays but we started going on field trips all over. It was great that I could do something I loved. The girls had rules they had to follow and dues they had to pay. I had 4 staff members that were helping me. We tutored the girls in any subjects they were failing in school. It wasn’t all about just fun and games. We had to educate the girls as well. My parents were great supporters and helped out financially in anyway the could. They could see that I was serious about making the program legit. As time went on the girls weren't abiding by the rules. The parents weren't any better because they didn’t want to pay the dues which at the time was $5.00 a week. Really what can you do with that amount. I fed them and sometimes we had sleepovers. It just became ridiculous so I decided to put it on hold for a little while.
One day I was going to Queens to go chill but something told me to stay in Brooklyn. That night I got a call that change my life forever. I will never forget when my sister ran into the living room with the phone saying some guy is on the phone (my daughter’s dad) and he’s asking for you. I was puzzled because I never give my mother’s telephone number out especially to guys. I was excited when I heard his voice and instantly got butterflies in my stomach. We talked for a little while then he asked me to guess where  he was. I guessed NY and he was surprised that I got the answer correct. I just had a feeling that he was closer to me then I can feel. He asked could he come over to see me and I told him that I would have to get the okay from my mother. I asked my mother and she said it was fine because she wanted to met him. I told him how to get to my house by train. He needed to catch the L train to Graham Ave and I would meet him there.

I was to excited and eager for him to come. The L train ran by his house so it wouldn’t take long for him to come. I put on some tight jeans and a little top at the time I was only 140 pounds. I could wear pretty much anything I wanted during those days..lol.. He called me and told me that he was at Graham Ave. I asked my sister to come with me just in case I change my mind about him coming to the house. When I got to the the train station I seen him standing by the payphone. All I could do is try not to smile so hard and front like it didn’t matter that he was there. My sister looked at me and said he was sexy and why am I just now bringing him over. He started to walk over to me and every time he took a step my heart raced. When he finally got to me we just smiled and stared at each other for like a minute.  Then… to be cont..
